Prof. Herbert Klinger
Born in Hollabrunn, Austria, he attended the Music Conservatory of Vienna for Tuba and specialized in classical music and jazz, and parallel study of E-Bass. He studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna and participated in various master classes. Further, he learned orchestral conducting emphasizing brass music bands from Prof. Thomas Doss. He attended diverse master classes in conducting.
He is the chief director of the Vienna Police Wind Orchestra and also acts as music director of the Viennese Wind Music Society and deputy music director of the Austrian Wind Music Society.
He has worked as jury member at international competitions, and guest conductor of national and international orchestras, and speaker and expert at music seminars. He has participated in various operas, symphonic orchestras, big bands and chamber music ensembles.
