"Chinese Soundscapes" — Song Jin Music Theme Orchestra Suite
Soar on the wings of music across the vast and beautiful landscapes of China.
This symphonic suite weaves the familiar melodies of eight classic songs by renowned Chinese composer Wu Songjin into the rich, colorful fabric of a Western orchestra. Blending Eastern melodic elegance with Western symphonic grandeur, it takes listeners on a cultural journey from the snowy north to the coastal south, vividly capturing the diverse ethnic traditions of China.
Following highly acclaimed performances throughout China—including at the prestigious Shanghai Spring International Music Festival—"Chinese Soundscapes" makes its international debut. Tonight, as a centerpiece of the 12th World Orchestra Festival, the Vienna International Symphony Orchestra proudly presents this overseas premiere at the historic House of Strauss.
